Charges have been dismissed against a Fishers mother for fleeing the state with her daughter amid a custody battle last September.

Jennifer Ansari and her eight-year-old daughter were the subject of an Amber Alert at the time.

Fishers Police said Ansari left town with the girl after learning she was about to lose custody of the girl to her ex-husband, Aaron Snow.

An Amber Alert was issued when Ansari fled with her daughter. They were found in Louisville unharmed after a few days.

Ansari's family says the child was never in any danger and an Amber Alert should not have been issued, although court documents charging Ansari with custodial interference claim she made threats to numerous people and said her daughter was suicidal.

On Wednesday, those charges were dismissed. Ansari's attorney argued the charges were legally insufficient and the court agreed.
