Change of venue request denied over Regional Operations Center lawsuit
A court ruled late Thursday that the City of Indianapolis must face a lawsuit regarding the troubled Regional Operations Center in Marion County.
A special investigative committee filed a lawsuit against the city earlier this month claiming the city is failing to adhere to a subpoena and turn over critical documents relating to spending at the ROC.
The city then filed a motion asking the court to move the case to another jurisdiction.
After taking the motion under advisement, Marion County Circuit Judge Louis Rosenberg denied the city's request, saying the court sees no reason to move the case.
