MIAMI (NBC NEWS) - When it comes to neighbors helping neighbors it doesn't get much better than this.

A nun wielding a chainsaw and getting the job done early Tuesday in Miami in the wake of Hurricane Irma.

An off-duty Miami-Dade police officer stopped to shoot video of Sister Margaret Ann, of south Florida.

She's in full habit and hard at work cutting up fallen tree branches to clear Irma debris.

Sister Ann Margaret is with the Archbishop Carroll High School in Miami-Dade.

Catholic schools will remain closed for now, so the nun has a little extra time on her hands.

And what better to do than help!
