Kellen Dunham struggled early from the field, but recovered in a big way to lead Butler past North Dakota 79-64.

The sophomore started out 1-of-4 during the game's first 10:30, but closed going 5-of-7, including 3-of-4 from behind the arc to finish with a game-high 29 points.

North Dakota was able to keep Butler within reach until the Bulldogs went on a 10-3 run, capped off by a Dunham to Khyle Marshall alley-oop dunk with 3:07 to play in the first half for a 28-20 lead. Butler's defense then got in the action and held North Dakota scoreless from the field for the remainder of the half - the only points by North Dakota came after Andrew Chrabascz fouled Troy Huff, who hit both free throws.

North Dakota was led by Troy Huff with 20 points on 7-of-13 shooting and five rebounds.
