A Madison County man was arrested after a family caught him breaking into their home near Pendleton.

Madison County Sheriff Ron Richardson says the homeowner and a family member returned to their home near Pendleton to find a strange vehicle parked in their driveway. As they raised the garage door, a man ran from the garage to vehicle and sped off.

After obtaining a description of the suspect and vehicle, officers located 32-year-old David Case, who matched that description. He was driving a vehicle that also matched the description of the vehicle seen in the family's driveway.

Case was questioned by detectives and placed under arrest. He was booked on felony charges of burglary, theft and neglect of a dependent.
