Body-paint artist blends models into NYC landmarks

New York City's streets are Trina Merry's studio, and the naked body is her canvas.

She creates remarkable images that seamlessly camouflage her mostly nude models into New York City's skyline, blending them into the details of the Empire State Building, the Manhattan Bridge, Central Park and other landmarks.

Merry says she came up with the idea for the series after moving to the city from the San Francisco area this year.

Her art form is the result of a meticulous process that relies on models to hold their pose perfectly still for hours, even with the distraction of passers-by on busy city streets.

Merry says it takes about six hours to complete a work, which is preserved in photographs before it is quickly washed away.
