Hamilton County officials recovered the body of a driver missing since early Saturday morning just before 10 a.m. Sunday morning. The body of David A. Baker, 42, of Arcadia, Indiana, was recovered near 266th Street and Mt. Pleasant Road in northern Hamilton County.

Hamilton County Communications received a 911 call from Baker around 1:00am Saturday morning.  He reported the vehicle in which he and his dog were riding was sinking in the water of Cicero Creek near Arcadia.

Officers responding to the scene heard a yell for help but were unable to locate the driver or vehicle. Officials were able to track the telephone number and family members confirmed it was Mr. Baker's telephone.

On Saturday, Mr. Baker's truck was located in the water and family members were able to rescue Mr. Baker's dog and take it home; however, Mr. Baker was not located. Search attempts on Saturday had to be terminated due to hazardous conditions.

Recovery attempts began again on Sunday morning and Mr. Baker was located in the area.
