Body found in White River is missing Carmel man
Indianapolis Metro Police say a body found in the White River Monday is that of a missing Carmel man.
Police confirmed that the body is that of Walton Matthew Ward. The 22-year-old went missing Oct. 12 after being dropped off in Broad Ripple in front of Peppers Bar.
Ward's mother contacted police after failing to hear from her son for several days. Ward was supposed to meet a woman at Peppers whom he had first contacted online on Cupid.com. The woman, who said she was from Brownsburg, is described as tall with long brown hair.
Ward had just moved to Indianapolis in October.
