Body found in Jay County may be missing Dunkirk woman
Jay County Coroner Jason White tells Eyewitness News that a body was found in a rural area Monday.
White said that an autopsy is pending and that DNA analysis would be required to make positive identification, but investigators believe the body may be that of Brianna DiBattiste, a woman missing since June.
The body was found on the property of the Jay County Conservation Club, which is in southwest Jay County. The person who found it just happened to walk past it, according to White - the discovery was not part of an organized search.
An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday at the Northeast Indiana Forensic Center in Fort Wayne.
