Bloomington police are investigating a robbery and shooting that resulted in the death of a 25-year-old Cloverdale man late Saturday night.

Officers were dispatched to the 2600 block of East Dekist just before midnight Saturday night on the report of a robbery and a shot fired.  They arrived and found Joshua Huber suffering from a gunshot wound.  He was transported to IU Health Bloomington Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Occupants of the residence told police that five men entered the house demanding drugs and money, and pistol whipped and beat some of the victims.

There was one shot fired, striking Mr. Huber. The assailants were described as black males, with bandannas over their faces, wearing hooded clothing with the hoods pulled up.

Bloomington Police detectives are continuing to investigate and believe that the selection of this address for a robbery was not a random act.
