Bloomington police continue to receive tips in Spierer case
Police say they are still getting information about Lauren Spierer, nearly two years after the Indiana University student disappeared.
Spierer was last seen June 3, 2011 at her apartment near the IU campus. Bloomington police say they have received more than 3,000 tips in the case, including 166 this year.
"Despite being nearly two years into this investigation, information continues to come in regarding Lauren's case and investigators diligently pursue the information with the same level of commitment as in the beginning," Bloomington Police Capt. Joe Qualters wrote in a release Friday. "No amount of time passing will deter us from our responsibility and we remain dedicated to Lauren's cause."
