A Cedar Lake woman caught in the middle of a land dispute could face eviction from the home she's lived in for 54 years.

Delores Pittman tells The Times that her family bought her house in Cedear Lake in 1957. The land belonged to a church group, but her family paid the taxes and rent to the church.

But local officials say the property was never recorded in Pittman's name and that taxes hadn't been paid for years. The county put the property up for sale as part of a tax auction.

Clayton Pullins of Chesterton bought the property and is pushing for eviction.

The 67-year-old Pittman says she doesn't know what she'll do.
