Birthday prank sees thousands of Post-It notes stuck to car

A birthday prank is getting a lot of attention on social media.

A police officer in Kansas City was turning 50, so his fellow officers surprised posting 4,000 sticky notes to cover his car.

It was even color-coordinated with a yellow body, blue doors and pink tires. A colorful bunch of people put this prank together.

"They got me good this time. They got me good this time. This was supposed to be a low-key birthday. When you're 50, you don't want anyone to know about it. and that kind of blew up in my face," said Stuart Littlefield, detective.

The police department points out all this was done off the clock and workers paid for the Post-Its themselves.

Officer Littlefield says he's not sure how many were involved, but he plans to get them back with a practical joke of his own.
