For the second time in as many weeks, a robbery at the Main Source Bank on Banta Street prompted a lockdown at Franklin Community Schools.

The robbery occurred mid-morning on Friday. Police set up a perimeter and are searching the area but they have not found the suspect.

The lockdown was lifted at 11:00 am.

On Oct. 17, the same bank was robbed. In that incident, a man walked into the bank, displayed a hand gun and demanded money from the teller. The man got away with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the bank on foot.

The suspect in the Oct. 17 incident was described as a tan white male in his mid to late twenties, approximately 5'7" tall, thin build, wearing a red hooded (Indiana) sweatshirt, sunglasses, and black sweat pants.

Police have not released any details on the suspect in Friday's robbery.
