Bank employee accused of stealing $160k from elderly customers
Customers at a Southern Indiana bank may have been robbed by their own bank teller.
Nancy Hogan worked at a Chase Bank in Jeffersonville.
In a span of five years, prosecutors say, Hogan targeted and stole nearly $160,000 from customers age 70 and older.
Once the bank discovered what was going on, they turned the case over to police.
Clark County Prosecutor, Jeremy Mull said, “The evidence indicates that she clearly targeted them because of their age. She thought that they would be more trusting and basically just easier to steal from.”
The bank has reimbursed all of the customers who were targeted.
A warrant has been issued for Hogan’s arrest.
