Trustees at Ball State have approved a two-percent increase in undergraduate tuition for the next two school years.

The school says the increase is the lowest at the university in 37 years. Tuition for undergraduates will increase by $90 per semester for the upcoming school year and $92 in 2014-15.

Trustees also discussed a proposal to reduce parking fees for students and employees during the next five years. The vehicle registration fee, which is required for every parking permit, would be reduced by $30 in 2014-15. A new transportation fee of $20-50 per semester would be applied to students that don't live in a university-owned residence hall or apartment and would support the campus shuttle.
