Believe it or not it's back to school for some school systems this week.

Warren Township schools are among those headed back today.

Parents and students are scrambling to get ready.

"This is her first time leaving elementary school and heading into the middle school environment," Melanie Webster said about her 10-year-old daughter, Faith. "She's a little nervous."

The two took advantage of a weekend event put on by the Marion County Health Department. It offered health and emergency information, as well as school supplies.

Experts say a little planning can go a long way to reduce back-to-school stress.

According to the National Association of School Psychologists, parents should review all school information as soon as it comes home.

Mark the calendar for important dates and school activities for the year. Make copies of health and emergency information. Re -establish bed and meal time routines.

For those on the road, police and school officials remind drivers to mind school zones, and watch for children at crosswalk and school bus stops.
