A three-month-old girl found unresponsive at a Zionsville daycare in August died from natural causes.

Capt. Dave Bursten said Indiana State Police were called because the infant was the daughter of a Zionsville police officer.

He said employees at Dawn 'til Dusk Daycare at 11702 Michigan Road found Charlotte Henthorne unresponsive at around 10:30 am, tried to revive her and called for an ambulance.  She was taken to Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at St. Vincent where she was pronounced dead.

The child's parents, Thomas and Ashley Henthorne of Lebanon, and immediate family, have been notified of her death.

The investigation found that the baby died from a heart condition.

State Police investigators were assisted by the Zionsville Fire Department, the Boone County Sheriff's Department, the Zionsville Police Department, the Boone County Prosecutor's Office and Boone County Child Protective Services as well as members of the Boone County and St. Vincent Hospital Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) teams.
