Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay has a trial date now on misdemeanor charges of driving while intoxicated. He faces a bench trial on August 28th in Hamilton County. The court set a trial date Thursday after Irsay waived an initial hearing.

Carmel Police arrested the colts owner in March for allegedly driving under the influence of prescription pain killers.

Officers found prescription pills in his vehicle. Police say Irsay was driving slowly, stopping in the road and failed to use a turn signal. They also say he failed field sobriety tests. He voluntarily checked into rehab the next day.

The charges carry maximum penalties of 60 days in jail and $500 fines for each count.

Irsay underwent rehabilitation and returned to the public spotlight last month in Atlanta for the NFL owners meeting.
