As I Lay Dying lead singer busted in murder-for-hire plot
The lead singer of the heavy metal band As I Lay Dying is accused of trying to pay someone to kill his estranged wife.
Tim Lambesis was arrested yesterday in Southern California after authorities say he tried to hire an undercover detective to do away with his wife. The department gave few other details about the case.
As I Lay Dying was formed in 2000 and has released six albums. One of them, "An Ocean Between" reached number 8 on the Billboard charts in 2007. One of the songs was nominated for a Grammy for top metal performance.
