An active pattern takes over

An active weather pattern will be in place for the first week of June. More humid air arrives and there will be several chances of showers and thunderstorms this week.

For the most part, Sunday will be sunny and warm with temperatures climbing into the mid 80s. There is a chance of isolated thunderstorms late this afternoon, mainly south of I-70.

Isolated thunderstorms will be possible this evening across central Indiana but will diminish around sunset. Temperatures will fall into the upper 60s.

Monday will likely be the stormiest of the week. Showers and thunderstorms will develop by early afternoon and continue into the evening. There is an isolated risk of a strong to severe storm and heavy rain is possible. Temperatures will climb into the low 80s.


Tuesday looks mainly dry with a chance of storms early in the day. Highs will be in the mid 80s with muggy conditions.

Scattered showers and storm chances continue through the weekend. Cooler air arrives on Thursday, with temperatures returning to near normal for this time of year with highs in the upper 70s.
