Allen not concerned about injuries at Colts camp
With two offensive starters already leaving Colts camp with injuries, Dwayne Allen might have a reason to be nervous.
The tight end is coming off a serious hip injury last year. Running back Vick Ballard and guard Donald Thomas are out - both players suffered injuries last year.
Allen was hurt in the season opener last year, but says you can't be worried about getting hurt again.
"Even before my injuries, one of the things that I realized is that in football there's a 100 percent chance that you are going to be injured sometime or later as long as you play this game. I realize that and embrace and know that's a possibility, but it's never on my mind," Allen said.
Allen says he has felt great in training camp. The trainers and coaches have made him sit out a few practices, but he doesn't like to. He says he has too much to work on before the season opens.
The Colts held just one practice Friday in Anderson. A couple of veterans, including Cory Redding and Reggie Wayne, were given the day off.
