Agribusiness unit returns from Afghanistan
The remaining nine troops of the Indiana National Guard's 5-19th Agribusiness Development Team arrived home from Afghanistan early Tuesday morning.
They deployed a year ago, and continued the work of four previous teams from Indiana that began in 2009.
The Guardsmen worked closely with the Afghan government to improve agribusiness, bringing expertise in engineering, horticulture, forestry, farming, pest control and education.
After meeting their families at Stout Field, the troops will report to Camp Atterbury for demobilization training.
