90 tort claims filed in Indiana State Fair fund
INDIANAPOLIS - Time is running out for victims of the Indiana State Fair tragedy to apply for money from two different funds.
Tuesday is the deadline to apply for part of the $5 million state compensation fund. There are two weeks left to apply for part of the more than $975,000 donation fund.
The Indiana attorney general's office received nine new tort claim notices in connection with the August 13 Indiana State Fair incident. This brings the total number of original tort claims received to 90. The attorney general's office says some of the original claims were submitted jointly by multiple members of the same family.
As long as the claim is marked by midnight Nov. 1, the claim will be considered by the attorney general's office.
