700 fans camp out for 'Catching Fire' premiere
The latest "Hunger Games" are yet to begin, but the fans have already arrived in force in Los Angeles.
Seven hundred fans of the popular book trilogy camped out all weekend at Nokia Plaza at L.A. Live and were rewarded with tickets to Monday's premiere of "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire."
All entered a lottery to win spots at the Hunger Games Fan Camp. Many carried hand-made posters and copies of the second book in Suzanne Collins' series. Most said they were as excited to meet their fellow fans as they were the stars of the film.
Alyce Kozar, of Los Angeles, and Jemmie Yamson, of Minneapolis, bonded instantly when they met at the fan camp Saturday and are planning to travel to Comic-Con together next year.
"The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" opens Friday.
