5 things you should know this Monday morning
WINDY, RAINY MORNING:
We are in for a windy and rainy morning as storms move through the state. And with this system, comes colder air. Temperatures will be dropping into the 30s with rain turning into snow late tonight.
U.S. 31 CONSTRUCTION:
If you commute from Carmel, give yourself extra time this morning. Since last week was spring break in Carmel, this morning is expected to be the first real test for the detours set up for the U.S. 31 construction project. If you're on Twitter, you can tweet the hashtag "13-on-31" so you can let us know about your morning or evening commute. We'll also use that hashtag to keep you updated on the project, along with which detours you can take.
HAMILTON SOUTHEASTERN SCHOOLS FUNDING:
Hamilton Southeastern Schools' board of trustees will meet this morning to figure out where to cut $5 million from the budget. The proposals include cutting teacher benefits and charging more student fees.
The pacers won their last regular season home game yesterday, and that means they once again have the lead in the NBA Eastern Conference. They are a half a game ahead of the Miami Heat.
BUBBA WATSON WINS MASTERS:
Bubba Watson is the winner of this year's Masters tournament. This is Watson's second win in three years. The left-hander claimed another green jacket by shooting a 3-under 69 in yesterday's final round at Augusta National. He was 8 under par for the tournament.
