OFFICER CRASH: An IMPD officer is in the hospital, after he was injured in a single-car crash.It happened around 3:00 AM on Interstate 65 near the Keystone exit on the city's south side. Crews had to cut Sergeant Anthony McLemore out of his squad car after it crashed into the concrete barrier. The officer was in and out of consciousness and was taken to IU Health-Methodist Hospital in serious but stable condition. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

CAR HITS TREE: Two people are hurt, one critically, after the car they were in slammed into a tree and caught on fire. It happened late last night at the intersection of Dearborn Street and Glenn Drive, on the city's near east side. Firefighters had to extricate the driver of the car.He was taken to the hospital in critical condition suffering from burns and a broken leg. Firefighters say the passenger of the car received minor burns. Investigators are trying to figure out what caused the crash, but believe alcohol may have been a factor.

HIT & RUN SENTENCING: A Shelbyville man will be sentenced today in for his role in a hit and run accident that left one woman dead. 51-year-old Greg Hudson was found guilty last month for hitting Kathleen Clark with his pickup truck and leaving the scene. It happened in January 2013 near the intersection of Meridian Street and Troy Avenue in Indianapolis. Police found pieces of his pickup truck the crash site. Hudson told detectives he didn't know he struck someone until two days after the crash. But prosecutors say he never reported it to police.

NO WRECKAGE SPOTTED: Australia's acting prime minister says an aerial search of a remote part of the southern Indian Ocean for a missing Malaysian airliner has come up empty so far. He says "nothing of particular significance" has been identified.

ENJOY THE WARMTH: Highs will reach the mid 60s today with partly cloudy skies and wind gusts out of the southwest up to 30mph. Tonight temps fall into the 30s, and as a cold front sweeps through, we'll see a chance of rain. Colder air will be filtering in for the weekend. Highs Saturday reach the upper 40s, while Sunday we only top out in the upper 30s. We could be tracking light snow by Tuesday. The 50s are back by Thursday of next week.
