FORMAL CHARGES AGAINST OFFICER POSSIBLE BY FRIDAY
Prosecutors say that formal charges could be filed against the off-duty police officer accused of causing a deadly accident outside of Edgewood. James Foutch is currently on administrative leave after posting a $20,000 bond. Police say Foutch rear-ended the vehicle of Rebecca and Jesse Sperry, forcing their car off the road and into a utility pole. Jesse died at the scene, while his wife, who was 9 months pregnant, was rushed to the hospital where she received and emergency C-section. Both Rebecca and the child remain in the hospital.
TODDLER DROWNS IN POND
A 3-year-old boy has died after being pulled from the retention pond of his apartment complex. IMPD received a missing person's report in the evening, but the boy's body was found before they arrived. First responders administered CPR and took him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. No word yet on the boy's identity or the exact cause of death.
EARLY PRIMARY VOTING BEGINS
Today is the first day of early voting for the 2014 Primary elections. You'll need to bring a valid photo ID issued by the state of Indiana or the federal government. Voting takes place at the county clerk's office on weekdays or weekends between now and the May 6th Primary.

NEW DEVELOPMENT FOR GREENWOOD
The site where Cabela's abandoned plans for a new store is now the target for a proposed amateur sports complex and hotel. GoodSports Enterprise wants to bring an 85,000 square foot fieldhouse to host youth sports events. The company says the construction would bring 300 temporary jobs, while the fieldhouse and hotel would create 112 permanent jobs. It's expected to open in 2015.
