RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE WITH TEMPS IN 70s THIS WEEKEND:
It is already a wet morning rush hour for many parts of Indiana. As the day progresses, most of the heaviest rain amounts will be south of Indianapolis. Clouds, waves of showers and locally heavy storms will keep high temperatures in the mid 70s, about 10 degrees below average. We will have some rain and thunderstorms. MAN IN CRITICAL CONDITION AFTER FAR WEST SIDE SHOOTING:
IMPD is investigating a shooting that occurred around 3:30 a.m. Friday in the 1700 block of Countryside Drive on the city's far west side. The male victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the abdomen and is in critical condition at Eskenazi Health. The victim and the suspect are both males in their late 20s. Learn more here.

MEN INJURED IN FIGHT AFTER CRASHING THROUGH DOWNTOWN HOTEL WINDOW:
A fight downtown left three men injured early Friday morning. Two of them were taken to Eskenazi Health, one in serious condition. Rival men's amateur basketball teams were at the Wild Beaver Saloon when an old dispute started again with a fight outside the bar around 12:30 a.m. It continued to the Hampton Inn where they crashed through a large front glass window at the hotel. SOBRO RESIDENTS GO ONLINE TO FIGHT CRIME:
People in the north side SoBro neighborhood are using social media to help warn each other about a series of burglaries. The suspects in the burglaries all have the same motive. They kick in a back door, and grab TVs, computers or any kind of electronics. Neighbors are turning to the website NextDoor.com to keep them in the loop and warn each other about who and what they see that might be out of place. TWO STORMS EXPECTED TO HIT HAWAII THIS WEEKEND:
Hawaii is starting to feel the effects of tropical storm Iselle as the outer edges of the storm are bringing wind and rain to the islands. The storm will cross over the big island in the next few hours. It's the first of two storms expected to hit the islands. Category 3 Hurricane Julio is right behind it.
