5 THINGS TO KNOW THIS MORNING
THE CALM AFTER THE STORM: The heavy rain and thunderstorms have moved out and the windy conditions moved in. It's still mild for this time of year but a Wind Advisory will be in effect until 7pm and a Flood Warning for most major bodies of water in the state until Monday. Look for winds to clock in at up to 40 mph today with a high of 42. Weekend looks good overall with a chance for light snow Saturday night and early Sunday. Look for highs to return to the 20s next week. Chuck has the full forecast on Eyewitness News Sunrise.
VIOLENT NIGHT: Four people are found murdered in a home on Parker Avenue on the south side and overnight two people are shot to death on Stuart Street on the northeast side. On Sunrise at 6am, find out why police are still at the house on Parker Avenue this morning.
GOODBYE GRANGER: Pacers fans are surprised to learn that the team traded Danny Granger to the Philadelphia 76ers for Evan Turner and Lavon Allen but not as surprised as Turner was by the move. Tune in at 6am to find out what Turner had to cancel because of the trade.
CLEAR THE AIR: The Airport Authority Board will vote this morning on a stricter no smoking ordinance for the Indianapolis International Airport. At 6:30am on Sunrise... what they are considering and why it may restrict what people can smoke on property.
REVENGE MATCH: A disappointing night on the ice for the USA women's figure skaters and the USA Women's Hockey team. For the first time since 1936, no female skaters from the United States medalled and the women's hockey team, favored for gold, came up short in the gold medal match with Canada. The USA Men's hockey team has a chance to advance against Canada today. Anne Marie Tiernon joins us from Sochi with more on when you can watch that game live.
