GRAB OUR UMBRELLA: Scattered showers and even a rumble of thunder will be possible today as temperatures hold steady in the mid to upper 40s. The steadiest rain will be though early afternoon, with showers becoming more isolated late in the day. Wind gusts up to 40mph out of the southwest are possible today too.
DOUBLE SHOOTING: Two people have been shot on the East side of Indianapolis. It happened in the five-thousand block of Brookville Road near Emerson Avenue. Police say both victims have been taken to Eskenazi hospital in critical condition. Police do not think this was a random act, and they are talking to a person of interest.
TORNADO DRILLS TOMORROW: Be ready for two statewide tornado drills tomorrow as part of severe weather preparedness week. Counties will test their outdoor storm sirens, around 10:10 A-M and 7:30 P-M.
BROAD RIPPLE DEVELOPMENT VOTE: Today a controversial development plan in Broad Ripple gets a second chance. The Metropolitan Development Commission will take a 're-vote' on a proposal to tear down two homes to make way for a new two-story building on College Avenue.
MEGA MILLIONS JACKPOT: Two winning tickets will split the estimated $400 million Mega Millions lottery jackpot. A ticket purchased in Maryland and another in Florida match all six numbers drawn in last night's drawing. Winning numbers: 11, 19, 24, 33 and 51 with a Mega Ball 7.
