5 Things to know this Monday morning
We're expecting a pleasant day ahead in the forecast, with a few clouds and temperatures in the mid to upper 70s.
A woman was brought to Methodist hospital this morning with a gunshot wound to the head. The person that drove her there says someone shot at them as they were driving around 34th and Hovey Street on the Northeast side. Officers don't have any suspects at this point.
TWO TEENS IN CRITICAL CONDITION:
Two Johnson County teenagers are in critical condition this morning, the day after their friend's body was pulled from the Big Blue River. 17-year-old Jason Moran had been missing since Friday after diving into the water near a dam.
Police in Mooresville, Indiana are investigating four suspicious fires within a 72 hour span over the weekend. All the fires happened on the same stretch of Indianapolis Road and between the hours of midnight and 1:00 AM.
LAS VEGAS SHOOTING:
As a precaution, police in Las Vegas who normally work alone are being paired with another officer. The precaution follows Sunday's brazen attack that killed two officers as they were having lunch at a pizzeria. The suspects, a man and a woman, shot the officers at point-blank range. They then fled to a Wal-Mart across the street, where they killed a customer before getting into a gun battle with officers. Police say the woman killed her partner and then herself.
