5 Things to know for Tuesday morning
OFFICERS SHOOT SUSPECT:
A suspect is in the hospital after being shot by an IMPD officer this morning near the corner of Pruitt and Harding Streets on the northwest side of Indianapolis. The officers involved were not hurt. OFFICER SHOOTING SUSPECT IN COURT:
The man suspected of shooting and killing IMPD Officer Perry Renn is out of the hospital.He will make his first court appearance today. 25-year-old Major Davis Junior is charged with murder. Keep up with the latest on this story here.
A cyclist has been killed in Cicero in Hamilton County. Investigators there say someone hit Nicolas Camp with a vehicle and then drove off. They are still looking for that driver this morning. Check out more details on the story by following this link.
SAME SEX MARRIAGE DEADLINE:
The state of Indiana's brief against a federal judge's ruling to strike down the gay marriage ban is due today. Last month, the judge found Indiana's ban on same sex marriage unconstitutional. Hundreds of couples were married before the state's request for a stay of appeal was granted a few days later.
It is an unseasonably cold morning with temps in 50s. There are clear skies now, but there will be spotty showers later. The high will only reach 71 today. Watch Chuck's full forecast.
