2 Indiana doctors give up Rx privileges
The Indiana Attorney General's office says two north central Indiana doctors have agreed not to prescribe controlled drugs until the Indiana Medical Licensing Board considers formal complaints against them April 25.
The office said Wednesday that the agreement obtained during a pre-hearing conference allows Drs. Donald and Marilyn Wagoner of Wagoner Medical Center in Kokomo and Burlington to practice medicine but not to prescribe narcotics or opiates until the board meeting.
The office says an investigation revealed unsafe pharmacological mixes, high prescribing rates for controlled pain medications and 26 patient deaths resulting from multiple drug toxicity.
