An 11-year-old child died in a crash involving an ATV and a motorcycle in Bartholomew County.

An adult male was riding a motorcycle near CR 100 N and CR 200 W just west of Columbus when he collided with the boy, who was riding an ATV. Investigators say 11-year-old Cameron Briot was driving across a field on the four-wheeler when he pulled into the road and crashed into the motorcycle. He died instantly.

The driver of the motorcycle, 45-year-old Brian Snyder, was flown to IU Health Methodist Hospital. His condition is not known at this time.

Police say Briot was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
