Indianapolis - A six-year-old girl is recovering after an attack by two dogs at an east side insurance company.

"These are the teeth marks and it got really red," said the girl, Raeauna.

Her mother, Tabitha, says the more aggressive dog got loose as she paid her insurance bill Monday afternoon.

"Immediately started attacking Raeauna. It bit her all over her side, her back, her leg," she said. "My mom immediately grabbed her from the ground and started fighting with the dogs."

The dogs' owner, Pam Wilson, called 911 and explains the attack as an accident. She suspects her brown Husky mix named Stanley became jealous of Raeauna feeding candy corn to her other mix.

Wilson told Eyewitness News she brought her dogs to her business on East 10th Street for security. She says this is the first time they have shown any aggression.

But Animal Control took custody of both pets for quarantine. Tabitha says her daughter's bloody jeans shows the viciousness of the attack.

"They still have the teeth marks in them from where the dog grabbed her by the leg. If not for my mom, she probably wouldn't be here today," she said.

Raeauna limps from her injuries. Her mother hopes she makes a full recovery, both physically and emotionally.

An Animal Control officer cited Wilson for expired tags and shots, along with owner responsibility violations. The two dogs will remain in quarantine for the next 10 days.
