Woman killed in crash on I-70

Hendricks County - An Indianapolis woman died in a single vehicle crash on I-70 early Saturday morning.

State Police responded to the accident scene at 4:40 a.m., near mile marker 58 in Hendricks County. Preliminary investigation revealed that 29-year-old Adam Ehrich of Washington state apparently fell asleep while driving his van eastbound on Interstate 70. His vehicle left the road and struck a tree on the passenger side. The front seat passenger, 26-year-old Jessica Ryker of Indianapolis, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Ehrich was transported to Wishard Hospital in good condition. Two children were also transported from the scene in good condition. Jaden Ehrich, 2, was taken to Wishard and Jason Ehrich was transported to Riley Children's Hospital.
