Mary SkaggsMarion County - An Indianapolis mother faces neglect charges. Police say she admitted putting whiskey in the bottle of her four-month-old baby.
Metro Police say 28-year-old Mary Skaggs first told nurses she put whiskey on the gums of her teething baby. She called paramedics when the baby became sluggish and passed out.
Doctors at Methodist Hospital say the baby had a blood alcohol level of .048, so they called police. Skaggs later admitted to putting whiskey in the baby's bottle because she would not stop crying.
