IndyCar driver prepares to walk down the aisle

Indianapolis - You've seen Sarah Fisher on the track, but now she's getting ready for another trill of her lifetime - her wedding.

IndyCar driver Sarah Fisher is used to racing toward the checkered flag, but come September 15, she'll be racing to the altar.

"I enjoy planning the wedding," Fisher. "It's a very large family that's coming and it's a lot of fun."

"I'm a simple person, so it's (the wedding dress) simple," Sarah continued, "but to see me in a white dress I think it's gonna freak a lot of people out!"

Planning a wedding isn't easy, especially with Fisher's hectic season.

"It's been a balance but as long as you budget your time, it can be done. And no, Andy hasn't done hardly anything! I think he knows what day it is, I hope to God."

Andy, the man who'll have her hand in marriage, also has her back in the race car.

"Funny enough, Andy's my crew chief this year," said Sarah. "It's been a challenging year because things haven't gone as good on track as we'd wanted it to be. So for us to go home and know some areas we could do better in and be talking about it, that never stops."

Sarah exercises extensively through the season, which will keep her fit when she ties the knot.

"Not so much specific for the wedding," Fisher responded when Dave Patania asked if she has a specific wedding workout plan. "I mean what we've done for the racing and trying to be prepared strength-wise and cardio-wise, has helped me lose weight."

Sarah prepares herself for races and the wedding by varying her workout. Her trainer gets her on the "Jacob's Ladder" regularly.

"We use this a lot," said the trainer. "It's probably one of the hardest pieces of cardio equipment that we've found."

With an intense regime and her positive attitude, there's no doubt Sarah Fisher will be on buff bride.
