Castleton Olive Garden closed after sicknesses

David MacAnnally/Eyewitness News

Indianapolis - Olive Garden is closing its Castleton Square Restaurant until at least Monday after more than 200 people claimed they became ill after eating there.

The Marion County Health Department says most of the claims were made from people who ate at the restaurant over the weekend.  Some ate there as late as Wednesday.

Most of the people were sick for about 36 hours, which is consistent with a food-borne illness.

Health Department officials say the closure gives them more time to pinpoint the source and for the restaurant to clean up and test its food.

If you ate at that Olive Garden and got sick, the Health Department suggests that you call your doctor.
