Philadelphia, Mississippi - The grandmother of Colts quarterback Peyton Manning has died.
Frances Thomas Williams died Monday at a hospital in Meridian, Mississippi. She was 86.
Williams with the mother-in-law of former New Orleans Saints quarterback Archie Manning, the father of Peyton Manning and New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning.
Williams was an all-state high school basketball player. Her family said that in 1941, in her early 20s, she became the second female licensed airplane pilot in Mississippi.
She was the widow of Cooper Williams, her husband for more than 58 years, and worked for many years in the family's store.
Services are scheduled for Wednesday in Philadelphia, Mississippi.
