
Darryl ShepherdIndianapolis - Metro Police are speaking to a person of interest in deadly shooting near an Indianapolis church.
Officers were called to the 2100 block of Sheldon Street on the north side around 7:30 pm.
Police say the victim, Gary Couch, his 20-year-old son Michael Couch and another man got into an argument over rental garage space. One of them called 911 and during that call shots were fired, killing Gary Couch and injuring his son in the arm.
Police arrested 44-year-old Darryl Shepherd in connection with the shooting. He turned himself in to police Thursday, and police arrested him after questioning.
Shepherd faces preliminary charges of Murder, Aggravated Battery, Criminal Recklessness and Carrying a Handgun without a License in the shooting death of Gary Couch and the shooting of Michael Couch.
