LaGrange - A deputy town marshal from Topeka has been arrested on drug and misconduct charges.
Twenty-eight-year-old Deputy Marshal Zachary Miller was being held without bond Thursday at the LaGrange County Jail in northern Indiana. He faces preliminary charges of conspiracy to deal methamphetamine and official misconduct.
The jail had no record of an attorney for Miller.
Miller's arrest follows a two-month investigation by the LaGrange County Sheriff's Department and a drug task force. Miller could face 20 to 50 years in prison if convicted of the most serious charge.
