Colts fans ready to take on Pats

Indianapolis - Colts players past and present signed autographs for fans at the Blue Friday rally during the lunch hour at Circle Centre Mall.

A huge crowd turned out to get autographs from Colts cheerleaders and current and former players like Tarik Glenn and Mark Herrmann.

"The offensive line is doing awesome this year. They haven't given up much sacks, they're establishing a running game and they're playing really well," said Lineman Tarik Glenn.

Glenn says establishing a run is going to be a big part of the game against the Patriots at Lucas Oil Stadium Sunday night. "We're gonna try to get Dallas and Reggie involved for big plays. We've gotta establish a running game with Joseph Addai. The offensive line has a big charge this week so look for the Indianapolis Colts getting their running game going."

Meantime, Colts fans are on the war path.

Fan Tony Henderson said it's good vs. evil - and he has no qualms about identifying the evil in that equation. "Patriots without a doubt. Go Colts!"

It is one of the biggest and most bitter rivalries in the NFL. Wendy Burbank, a Patriots fan who frequently flies in from Boston to visit her sister Marcia in Indianapolis, says Colts territory seems friendly enough.

"New England fans are just very excitable, passionate fans all about our sports and Indiana is too known for its fans," she pointed out. "We have respect for them, for the fans, and respect for Peyton Manning." But at the end of the day, "We don't like them."

"Colts fans are actually quite pleasant to her," said Marcia.

"But can I be passionate about my team? There's no question," Wendy said.

There's no mistaking these sisters' loyalties. Marcia is decked out like any loyal Colts fan. Wendy dons all the Patriots colors. We asked if a Colts fan could walk around Boston dressed to the nines.

"Sure they could," Wenday said. "They might get mugged," she added.

"I would be carrying a gun," Marcia said.

Despite their deep and divided loyalties, "we still love each other and it is fun rivalry."
