
Lawrence - School children in Lawrence Township Schools will be able to get the H1N1 vaccine at two Saturday clinics in November and December. The clinics are for children only. Adults will not be immunized.
The clinics will take place at the Field house on the grounds of Lawrence North High School, 7802 Hague Road. A second round of clinics is also being planned, pending vaccine availability.
The dates and times are as follows:
- Saturday, November 21st, 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. for Kindergarten thru 5th Grades only
- Saturday, December 5th, 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. for 6th through 12th Grades only
The clinics are being conducted in conjunction with the Marion County Health Department.
There is no cost to parents for this vaccine if their child receives it at the Lawrence North clinic.
No child will be vaccinated if he/she has a temperature above 101 degrees.
The only requirements are a signed consent form and completed health questionnaire that must be completed prior to being vaccinated. These forms will be available in both English & Spanish and will be sent home with Lawrence Township students. They are also available on the website on Friday, November 13th.
Your child should wear a short-sleeved shirt on vaccination day.
