Bloomington man to plead guilty in shooting death

Ellettsville - A Bloomington man has agreed to plead guilty to killing a Purdue University counselor.

John Moore III was scheduled for a trial next month. But instead, under the agreement, he will plead guilty to voluntary manslaughter.

A year ago this week, Moore was charged with killing Steven Morris.  Police say Moore found Morris in his estranged wife's bedroom in Ellettsville and shot him.

Moore faces up to 50 years in prison.
