Official Contest Rules

1. Contest Description. This promotion is sponsored by WTHR, Channel 13. Contest is void where prohibited. By entering, each entrant accepts and agrees to be bound by these contest rules. Employees (and their immediate family members) of WTHR-TV, their parent companies and vendors are not eligible.

2. Eligibility. To enter, you must be at least 18 years old and a legal resident of one of the following central Indiana counties: Bartholomew, Benton, Blackford, Boone, Brown, Carroll, Cass, Clay, Clinton, Decatur, Delaware, Fayette, Franklin, Fountain, Grant, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Henry, Howard, Huntington, Jackson, Jay, Jennings, Johnson, Lawrence, Madison, Marion, Miami, Monroe, Montgomery, Morgan, Owen, Parke, Putnam, Randolph, Ripley, Rush, Shelby, Tippecanoe, Tipton, Union, Wabash, Warren, Wayne, Wells, or White.

3. How to Enter. Entry forms can be accessed by visiting www.wthr.com. You may also enter by sending your name, age, address and telephone number to: Oprah Holiday Stimulus Contest, P.O. Box 1313, Indianapolis, IN 46206. Sponsor(s) is/are not responsible for lost, late, illegible, misdirected or mutilated entries, including due to transmission, technical, and/or network failures of any kind, including, without limitation, malfunctioning of any hardware or software (whether originating with sender or Sponsor(s)), telephonic failures, human error, or any other error or malfunction. Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void. Any questions regarding the number of entries submitted by an individual or the authorized account holder of an e-mail address shall be determined by Sponsor(s) in its/their sole discretion, and Sponsor(s) reserve(s) the right to disqualify any entries by persons determined to be tampering with or abusing any aspect of the promotion.

4. How the Prizes are Awarded. Registration begins October 23rd, 2009, and ends November 24th. Mailed and electronic entries must be received by 5pm on November 24th, 2009. A winner for each day will be drawn at random and announced during the Oprah show weekdays at 4pm on WTHR Channel 13. Winners will have 13 minutes from the time their name is announced to call WTHR and confirm their entry. Once they are confirmed as the daily winner, they will be given instructions on how to claim their prize. If no winner calls to claim their prize, the prize money that day will be forfeited. Prize checks may take up to ten days to be processed. The winner must claim their prize in person by coming to WTHR at the designated date. They must bring two forms of legal identification, including a photo ID.

5. Odds of Winning. The odds of winning depend on the number of entries received.

6. Conditions of Acceptance of Prize. A valid driver's license or other appropriate government-issued picture identification satisfactory to Sponsors is required to claim the winning prize. To receive the winning prize, the winner must sign a Confirmation of Eligibility/Release Form: (i) confirming eligibility and compliance with the contest rules; (ii) granting Sponsors or their agents the right to use the name, likeness, voice, or picture of the winning contestant without compensation for the purpose of advertising and publicizing his/her winning of the prize and the contest; and (iii) releasing Sponsors and their agents form any liability and agreeing to hold them harmless from any liability resulting from or related to activities connected with acceptance of the prize. The winner must pay all applicable taxes due.

7. Limitation on Liability. By entering this promotion, each entrant forever discharges and releases Sponsor(s), its/their parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, and their respective directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability, claims, causes of action, suits, and demands of any kind arising from or in connection with the promotion, including, without limitation, responsibility for property damage, loss of life, or personal injury resulting from or in connection with participating in the promotion or from or in connection with use or receipt of the prize(s), however caused.

8. Winners List: For a list of contest winners, please send a stamped, self-addressed envelope, after December 1st, 2009 to Oprah Holiday Stimulus Contest Winner’s List, P.O. Box 1313, Indianapolis, IN, 46206.

9. Sponsor's Reservation of Rights. All federal, state, and/or local rules and regulations apply. Void where prohibited by law. These official rules are subject to modification by WTHR-TV. WTHR-TV reserves the right to change or modify these rules as needed at any time during the contest. In the event of a dispute, all decisions made by the above sponsors are final and binding. Sponsor(s) reserve(s) the right, in its/their sole discretion, to disqualify any person who tampers with the entry process or the operation of Sponsor's/Sponsors' web site(s), or who otherwise acts in violation of these official rules. Sponsor(s) further reserve(s) the right, in its/their sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, or modify this promotion if, for any reason, the promotion is not capable of completion as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, technical corruption, or non-authorized human intervention that compromises or affects the administration, fairness, integrity, security, or proper conduct of the promotion.
