Marion - Planned Parenthood of Indiana has decided to close another central Indiana health clinic as it responses to a loss of some federal funding.
The group says it will close its Marion clinic along with the closing of clinics in Anderson, Franklin, Kokomo, Shelbyville and Indianapolis that were announced last month.
The organization is cutting 17 full-time and eight part-time jobs in the restructuring, leaving it with 28 clinics and about 175 employees in the state.
President and CEO Betty Cockrum says the cuts will save about $1.3 million.
Planned Parenthood says the six clinics annually serve about 9,000 clients, mostly low-income women. None of the clinics being closed provide abortions.
28 Planned Parenthood sites will remain open in the state.
