Woman killed in two-car crash in Greenfield

Greenfield - An 84-year-old woman died in a two-car crash in Hancock County Saturday morning.

The accident occurred shortly before noon at U.S. 40 and Meridian Road in Greenfield. Police say 77-year-old Mary Graham of Indianapolis was traveling east on U.S. 40 when she made a left turn in front of Mark Hendershot, 56 of Carthage, causing the crash.

Graham's passenger, 84-year-old Dorothy Horman of New Palestine, was transported to Methodist Hospital, where she died of her injuries. Graham was giving Horman a ride to visit her husband at a nursing home in Greenfield when the crash occurred. Graham was taken to Hancock Regional Hospital, where she was treated and released.

Hendershot's wife, Julia, was also treated and released at Hancock Regional Hospital. Mark Hendershot was not injured in the crash.

The accident is still under investigation.
