Indianapolis - Metro police are investigating a fatal crash on Massachusetts Avenue late Saturday afternoon.
The preliminary investigation indicates a male was driving alone in a 1991 Lincoln Town Car at an excessive rate of speed when he lost control and struck a utility pole in the 6400 block of Massachusetts Ave. around 5:00 pm. The man died as a result of his injuries.
The victim has been identified as 53-year-old Ronald Goldsmith of Indianapolis.
